Meat Loaf Bat Out Of Hell III Tour Venue Kasim Sulton at the SECC, Glasgow
01.15 - Tonight Kasim Sulton plays the fifth concert of the European leg of the Meat Loaf Bat Out Of Hell III Tour. The concert tonight is at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (also known as SECC) In Glasgow, Scotland and is the only concert of the tour in Scotland.

This venue is Scotland's national venue for public events and it has five main exhibition halls of area up to 10,000 m². It is probably best known for hosting its concerts with acts such as The Rolling Stones, U2, Oasis, Genesis, Kylie Minogue, Sting and many others with concerts taking place every other night in the 8,200 seater Hall 4 although the concert tonight is mainly a standing General Admission concert with limited seating at the back.

The SECC was built in 1985 and has the nickname among locals of "The Big Red Shed", owing to its outward appearance which resembled a giant red painted warehouse. However the nickname has become redundant following the building being repainted grey in recent years!

The concert starts tonight at 7.30pm (with door opening at 6.00pm). The opening act will again be Marion Raven and the concert sold out months ago!

Kasim played his light colored KSulton Bass for most of the first set and then switched to his black KSulton Bass which he also played for the second set.

All Sides played at the NEC Arena, Birmingham
06.30 - Last night at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, England tracks from Kasim Sulton's latest album All Sides were played as the 13,000 people attending the Meat Loaf concert entered the venue!

I got there on the late side but I was in time to hear both Yellow Cab and Minutes Slipping Past, plus part of I Wanna Be What I Am being played. Unfortunately I couldn't get close enough to the merchandise stand to see if copies of the album were available to purchase.

01.00 - Some reviews by fans (with photos) have been posted about this gig in this thread here on Meat Loaf's official website MeatLoaf.net.

Apparently I incorrectly reported the colors of Kasim's clothes in the second half of the set (I'll blame the lighting where I was standing!). Kasim's suit was grey and his shirt was lilac. Lots of photos of this gig will be added later this week.

Manchester to Birmingham is only 87 miles (south east) but will take about one hour forty minutes by road.

European Meat Loaf Bat Out Of Hell III Tour Mileage by road to date venue to venue (estimated) - 287 miles.

I did post on Thursday about how small England is compared to America which is why the tour mileage is so low!

(However spare a thought for someone like me who has already driven over 1,000 miles this tour as I have to keep returning to London for work between all the concerts!)
