Tonight we had the welcome return of Bonnie Tyler so it was a treble dose of Kasim! Although Kasim is situated in the middle of the orchestra for her songs, he stands and plays during It’s A Heartache and they have a spotlight on him (even more so when he moves to let Laurie Wiseman out to play at the front of the stage)! He really seems to play that song so effortlessly!

Kasim is then only off-stage for one tune (Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2) before he’s back on stage with Meat Loaf! It was the same set list but different clothes again! Tonight Kasim was wearing a black suit with a grey tight round neck jumper.

It was virtually the same arrangement as last night other then during the part of You Took The Words Right Outta My Mouth that Kasim made famous during StoryTellers (“it must have been while you were kissing me”), was sung by only the choir as all the band just did the clapping part.

At the beginning of Anything For Love, Meat has been going up to the microphone as if about to sing and then walking away the last few nights. Tonight he did it about three times and people were actually booing him! Again tonight, at the end of Paradise By The Dashboard Light, Meat Loaf and Patti Russo sang it so quietly that the crowd started clapping because they thought the song was over!

During Yellow Submarine, Kasim was given a microphone so during the last verse when John Miles sang a line and then one of the background singers repeated it (“Many more of them”, “Many more of them”), Kasim joined in with her which made it sound a lot better as often she can’t be heard!
