Another brilliant concert! Although the crowd was as large as the one last night, they were lest rowdy and didn't sway as much so I felt safer. A few people fainted again though! For the first time tonight, outside the venue there were actually some ticket touts (scalpers).

The special guest was a middle aged French guy tonight (Gerrard something) who went down a lot better than the Rolls Royce girl as everybody (but me!) knew his two songs and sang along.

I think Meat Loaf’s set lasted longer tonight (not that I’m complaining!). I was too near the front to take photos but at least it meant that I could see clearly. Tonight Kasim wore his red and black shirt undone over a black top - two friends of mine (non-Kasim fans) remarked about how good it looked on him, without any prompting from me!

Home By Now / No Matter What was the same as on recent nights (without them playing the last part but going straight into You Took The Words Right Outta My Mouth) but the latter song went on and on and on (not that I’m complaining!)! Kasim, Patti and Pearl only sang a few bars of the “It must have been when you were kissing me” part before Meat Loaf ad-libbed for ages. Then, when the music started again, the trio sang and sang! They were also clapping too (but at their microphones) which got the audience back in time with the music!

As Meat Loaf did last night, at the beginning of Anything For Love, twice he went up to the microphone to sing and then walked away which the audience found quite funny. Again, as he did last night, during the “screwing around” part, Kasim went to one side of the stage (out of the spotlight) and spoke to Laurie Wisefield. He then crossed to the other side of the stage at the looooooong beginning of Paradise and spoke to the guy who plays the double bass! The orchestra really get into Paradise and I noticed tonight that even the conductor, Robert Groslot, was conducting the string section into throwing themselves over in their seats in time to the music!

One of the best parts of the show for me came during Yellow Submarine as Kasim had a microphone and during one chorus near the end, he just held onto one note for the whole chorus! After the show (with no prompting from me again!) my friends were both remarking on not only how good he sounded but on how long he held the note!

Roll on tomorrow night!
