Tonight Kasim Sulton played the first concert on the Australian leg of the Meat Loaf Couldn't Have Said It Better World Tour. The concert tonight was at The Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne and was recorded for later release on a DVD. The band played with The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and The Australian Boys Choir joined in on a few tracks.
Kasim Sulton played an opening set before the concert which was well received by the crowd. Kasim sang Don't Hold Me Back,
Before She Was Gone and Sacrifice.
Kasim described the concert in his online journal on KasimSulton.com as:
"The first show went better than anyone had expected. It's always a crap shoot. Way too many variables to just assume that everything is going to be good.
The hard work leading up to last night paid off and we were lucky enough to avoid any train wrecks. It was an exciting show and I’m sure once the DVD is finished and released it will be a must have for any real fans.
Tomorrow is going to be slightly harder if only because we have a bench mark that I’m sure we'd all like to meet or surpass. That raises the bar for the band."
