Starting at 8am (Eastern) BBC America in the US will broadcast 24 hours of David Tennant / Doctor Who over a 26 hour period into New Year's Day. Updated 31/12

The Guardian has an article looking at television programmes in 2013. One section is titled "Tennant and Colman will reign supreme" and includes the description "Post-Doctor Who and Peep Show, the brilliant David Tennant and the even better Olivia Colman will be everywhere next year. The rarely resting actors star together in ITV's Broadchurch, an ensemble piece about the media descending on a small seaside town after a boy is murdered. BBC America are showing another of their new compilation programmes tonight. This one is titled The Destinations Of Doctor Who and is broadcast at 9pm and midnight (ET). Updated 25/8

The news about David Tennant hosting Comedy World Cup has now been reported by both the Radio Times and DigitalSpy. Updated 23/8

Announced today at the Edinburgh International Television Festival by Channel Four controller Jay Hunt and then reported immediately on both Broadcast Now and The Guardian, was the news that David Tennant will host a new seven part panel show called Comedy World Cup for the channel. The synopsis of the programme is that teams of comedians will use their stand-up routines to avoid being ejected from the competition. It will be broadcast on Saturday evenings but no broadcast date has been announced. Updated 23/8
