Comments by fans posted to various messageboards and mailing lists include:
"Todd had a cold and still sang his heart out."

" This was an IMMENSELY satisfying concert, a true bravura performance by Todd, who, with a summer cold, could have phoned it in and not taken any chances. But that's not him."

"Todd kicked off by saying, "We're going to play songs tonight that you all have been requesting. So don't holler out song titles. The first one who stands up with a sign saying 'Leroy Boy' will get a refund.""

"Man, I was spent after this, what a show by Todd and Kas, Prairie, John, and Jesse. There was just one thing that surprised me. First, why was Kas so quiet? He did nothing but play bass and sing backup. Especially with Todd suffering that cold, I thought for sure he would call on Kas for a song or two at least for relief. Libertine? Swing to the Right? Nothing."

"Sound at the time seemed a little loud and muddy at times, and the summer cold was not helping Todd at all."

"Despite his purported cold, Todd gave it his all. His vocals and guitar reminded me of why I was there to see the ever popular tortured artist effect."

"This concert was more than everything I'd been hoping for. If you all are within a day's drive, go see it. TR has still got it, and so does this tour's playlist."

Tonight Kasim Sulton plays the fourth gig of the 'Classic' Todd Rundgren Tour which is at the The Birchmere in Alexandria, VA.

The concert starts tonight at 7.30pm and tickets cost $39.50 (plus a facility charge of $1.50 and a whopping convenience charge of $7.85 per ticket so $48.85 in total) which is the same price as when they last played here. Apparently The Birchmere is General Admission with all seating done on a first come, first served basis. To keep the process orderly, they use Line Numbers which are picked up at the box office upon arrival. The venue is all seated with tables. At 5.00pm the Box Office opens and they start handing out Line Numbers to customers as they arrive the Box Office. At 6.00pm, when the venue doors open, they begin seating by Line Number (i.e. the first person in at 5.00pm will be the first person allowed into the venue).

Click here to view The Birchmere website and here to purchase tickets. The venue seats 500 people and the address is 3701 Mt. Vernon Ave, Alexandria, VA 22305.
