Messageboard post by Kathy

I saw the Columbus Liars concert the other day, and really enjoyed it! The music was more rocky than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I haven't followed Todd Rundgren so didn't know the songs (except Hello It's Me), but there was a jazzy, bluesy number toward the end of the show that I just really loved! Sorry to be so vague, but I don't know the name of it. I gathered (from the reaction of the nice people who shared their table with me) that this was something different for T.R. I liked the part where each band member did a bit on their instrument.

Have to add that Kasim looked very cool in his preacher-man from the wild west outfit, and the "pimp suit" too - I had described them as ice-cream suits to a friend but I realize that didn't quite say it all.

I noticed Kasim got quite a lot of applause, second only to "the headliner" - he must have more than a few Columbus fans! I wonder how many people were there, like me, because Kasim is in the band.

For more reviews of this concert, see TRConnection.com. Comments about Kasim at this concert taken from that site include:
"Kas' suit was awesome, looked to be light peach/pink and was tailored beautifully, with a shirt and tie underneath he looked soooo handsome"
"Talked to Kas before the show-what a nice guy!"
"Beyond the wonderful reuniting of Todd and Kaz's great voices and gituars there is a powerful synergy of straight at ya rock swept along on giant waves of soul power."
"I appreciated the show and effort and Todd, Kasim and Prairie and in fine form!"
"My one and only gripe (can't blame Todd for a non-working guitar setup) is that Kazim doesn't get to sing any lead. I know it's Todd's show but when you have one of the other best voices in Rock n Roll touring with you why not one song? "
