The VIPs at this show got a meet and greet before the show. Todd's got a "new do". It is 3 colors thats I could make out. Blond on the bottom and dark on top with "white" streaked in there too. So kinda of a "upside down" TR. There were just 10 or 12 of us - directed by our own Jeff "weavil" to a designated area (the stairwell). I was lucky enough to also meet Kasim!!! He gave me a big hug and all the smiles. I asked him how rehearsals went and he said "well we actually only PLAYED for about 3 hours and didn't get thru all the material!!" Ok - now I know this is gonna be a GREAT show! I LOVE the unrehearsal - fly by your pants stuff - I know Kasim is not too fond of this. He was a bit worried as to what was gonna happen up there. I asked if Kasim was gonna do a song and he said not yet. He said he didn't post any pics at his site cuz he didn't want to spoil the surprise either. So after about 5-10 minutes of chatting - the show must go on!
Let's just say the lights are AWESOME. This set up is SO SO COOL! I mean they are electrified!! All the band members are wearing costumes. AND they change costumes mid show as well. Todd is up front - usually just singing but grabs the guitar for some songs. The 4 guys are lined left to right behind TR - Prairie - Kasim - Jesse - John as you look at the stage.
Todd said something like "welcome to our first full rehearsal". And it was - but I love that. Todd is really excited about this new material - you can tell. He is dancing and really giving his all into it. Todd voice was great - and as it should be at the first show I guess. After screaming "Liars" I thought for sure it would be raspy - but NO! He must have a way to preserve his voice while SCREAMING. Teach me PLEASE!! LOL!
I CAN'T wait for tomorrow night. I can be UP and DANCING!! The music is loud and man do you feel Kasim's bass playing!! Kasim's vocals are heard loud and clear also. All the kinks I saw - will easily be worked out in a show or 2. Todd needs a little Aricept here and there. Forgetten lyrics are no problem - I think it makes the show "real". Too polished is not my kind of thing either.
So that's all for now. It's a great show - you HAVE to see it and HEAR it. You'll be all smiles like me! All Rights Reserved |
