Love of the Common Man "The show was to begin at 5:30 but did not start until after 6:00, as the rain stopped." "I think there would have been more people if the weather was better, but it seemed there were a lot of fans to see Todd." "The band was tight, and I thought Todd’s voice was good. The band seems to really be ‘on’. I think Rachel really seems 100 percent more comfortable and she and Kasim were goofing it up a lot on stage (wink wink). Arena is great LIVE. Afraid, and Manup are especially great live songs. Jesse, Prairie, Kasim, Rachel and Todd are as tight as it gets. I was glad they did not have to shorten the set list." I thought the set list might be shorten but to our luck we got to hear everything!" "From a vocal perspective he started slowly in order to allow his voice to get warmed up, but it didn’t take long for him to really get going." Ribfest is described on its website as "it has major music acts, up and coming hot bands, community talent, children's shows, a circus acts, special events, a carnival, and an awesome fireworks display on the 4th of July". The firework display tonight is scheduled from 9.30pm to 10pm and Todd Rundgren's set is from 5.30pm to 7pm with the next act following them due on at 7.40pm. Todd will be playing on the Miller Lite Main Stage.
People who have been to the event before say that the area in front of the main stage can get very busy so they strongly advise fans to get there a couple of hours before the time of their set.
The address of RibFest is Knoch Park, Naperville, Illinois and apparently parking in the area can be difficult.
Ribfest is arranged by the Exchange Club of Naperville to raise funds to help fight child abuse, domestic violence and to strengthen families in the local communities.

Tickets on the gate are $10 but the website warns that they close the gates if the festival becomes too crowded. They also close if there is lightning. Unfortunately Weather.com lists a 50% chance of precipitation and lightning due when Todd will be on stage!
