Review:
It was a good show! The same set list as most of the shows. Kasim did do Trapped and they did the full version of Arena. Encores CIJTY and Just One Victory. One of my favorites!!

The venue is very new, quite intimate and the stage was large. (Not larger than in Norway though!) Sound was excellent to me. It was also a seated orchestra with a large bar behind where you could also stand. Large screen monitors were all over so you could see from anywhere. It seemed sold out but I know someone that had just purchased two the day before.

Kasim looked good and sounded great (as usual...to me!) They let us near the stage for the encores. It was easy to approach.

There were 2 opening acts, Rusty Anderson & Paul Freeman. Rusty was surprisingly good! Paul F has opened for TR before and is very talented. He is from Wales, but lives out here now. (He also may be working with Meat Loaf on some things now?)

I took only a couple of photos as I didn't bring my camera. It said no cameras or recording, but lots of folks brought theirs and nobody said anything. I used my phone to take the ones I'm sending.

Comments by fans posted to various messageboards and mailing lists include:
"Last night in LA, Todd and the band treated us to fantastic show at the newly reconstructed Nokia Center. "Open My Eyes," charged the crowd and "Weakness" was amazing."

"I've been attending Todd concerts for thirty plus years and I've seen Todd in his various incarnations over twenty times. Friday night at Club Nokia in L.A. easily ranks in the top three Todd concerts ever."

"How great it was great to see and hear Kasim (Trapped)."

"The addition of Kasim added strong back-up vocals and guitar / keyboards."

"Kasim then, as the chorus after the can-can started in CIJTY, was at his microphone about to sing his line when he bolted over to Rachael's mic and sang more at her face than into the mic. The look on Kasim and Rachael's faces as they sang those lines - especially Kasim - was just cute and amusing beyond description."

"The addition of Kasim on vocals has made all the difference in the world on the backup vocals for all the songs, and in this case especially the Arena songs. For example, you know the first chorus of "Mad" where there's that little break with the backups standing out and then the music kicks back in with Todd singing "I'm mad!"?--lots of places like that in backup vocals of the various Arena songs really came to life thanks to Kasim's very strong (and somehow almost never, ever off key!) voice."

"When Trapped ended my 14 year old son turned to me and said, "that was amazing." It was one of the highlights of the show for me. Todd and Kas going back and forth, turning it up a notch with their vocals was great to see and hear again."

"Nice having Kasim in the mix."

"Rachel is good, but I wouldn't mind hearing Kaz play bass on the Arena set. "
