  • I also think Kasim does an outstanding job on Drive, at least at the Pala show and on the album. He has a very controlled voice with a rich tone and not much vibratto, so he actually really nails Drive in my opinion.
  • Overall, the sound was good, the playing was precise, and the arrangements were true to the original but enough different to be interesting. The entire band played well and well together. Unlike Blondie, these guys were putting heart and soul into it.
  • This was the best Todd show I’ve seen in 20 years. I’m not some “Todd is Godd” whatever he does is great fan either. I’ve given some, candid and horrible reviews of some of his recent shows on this Board. I’ve been a fan of his for over 20 years and I enjoyed this show even more than the Nearly Human/ Second Wind shows which were fantastic. Yeah I know to some purists, this isn’t a real Todd show. I don’t care – if you cannot enjoy this tour something is seriously wrong with you.
  • There was no stage setup last night but it didn't matter, this show is a blast. They sounded great, the audience was out of their seats and in front of the stage half way through the first song. People dancing and singing along the entire set. (Thanks security for letting everyone in front of the stage)
  • That Kasim is a great bass player goes without saying. He seemed to be having lots of fun and his back up vocals are excellent. I would rate his lead vocal work on Drive as masterful. It was actually very similar to Ben Orr and in fact my wife had been listening to the original studio cut of "Drive" a lot before the concert, and she said she wouldn’t have had any clue it wasn’t him if I hadn’t told her. It was my wife’s favorite song of the whole night, and she is more of a Blondie fan actually.
