I'm just back from the Clearwater show, I had a great time. The set list seemed to be the same as most of the recent shows, I don't recall any real change in the songs or the order. I first saw Kasim in front of the tour bus, where he seemed to be trying to skip rocks (like in a pond) on the surface of the parking lot. I got a nice wave from him, but no one else among the two dozen or so people around me seemed to recognize him. Upon going in, I found that my 5th row seat had an excellent view of everyone EXCEPT Kasim! Unfortunately, Todd's lighting "cage" was directly in my line of vision of Kasim. Luckily, Kasim spent a good deal of time OUT of his cage, so I still got to see quite a bit of him. No hat or glasses tonight for Kasim. He wore a reddish jacket OVER the priest outfit at the start, then switched to the light pink pimp suit. For the last few songs he shed the jacket. His keyboard had a very serious erectile disfunction tonight. It worked for the first song, then just sort of hung there upside down until a roadie fixed it during Lunatic Fringe, only to have it flop down again during Green Onions. Kasim hit some fierce bass lines that really shook the building, especially during Mammon and God Said. After the show I was fortunate to chat with Kasim briefly, that was very, very cool. All in all a good show, though I don't think I would ever see TR again if Kasim wasn't along for the show. Thanks to Kasim for setting up a pass for me to meet him, I really did appreciate it.
